King Charles is being played differently here to how he was being played in The Cavalier Years special. In TCY he seemed more like Lord Melchett, in this General Melchett.

@vonnycav Same thing happens to the Duke of Wellington. In Back & Forth, Fry plays him as just another Melchett... shame really.

@SuicideFriends It has already been remarked upon, although it's not remarkable. But my point was that after series 4, Fry did all his Blackadder characters as (general) Melchetts.
