He was using her to win an election against Mickey Horton (Jack used to be a politician)--and he also cheated on her, which she knew about but "ignored" until she saw him with Victor's niece at the wedding. She then dumped him at the altar.

I loved two things about this clip. First of all I loved how Neil kept Angelica from interrupting Melissa and then the lecture that Jo gave him at the end was great too.
