I went a little crazy with my purchase at TKBTrading.com. I bought so much stuff that I probably can make my own mineral eyeshadows, blush, and foundation for years and years. The best part is I know exactly what ingredients are in my make up. I thought I would share how easy it is to make your own mineral eyeshadows. TKBtrading offers a great selection of bases and MICAS! A sampler size will get you an entire MAC pigment jar full. They are only $1.50 and you can select from their great selection of colors. Keep in mind that you can use these micas straight as eyeshadow or mix them up with bases or fillers. Just don't make the mistake of buying an ounce of everything...I did and I have a lot of stuff.
Products used in this video:

-5 gram jars (optional sifters)
-30 gram jars (MAC pigment size)
-.10 gram scoop
-pop sampler
-black mica
-tkb matte texture base

  • so did you use no fillers?just mica and pigment etc?do you think tkb is better than coastal scents?

  • no fillers. i like the finely milled mica's because the larger particles don't stick as well to the skin and rub off. both companies have great products and i occasionally purchase from both for different colors.

  • what is the weight? is it a teaspoon? or 1 ounce? do i go to make up in the web site? and then color:pigments, ultramarines and dyes? iam so lost! lol

    luv ur video!!!

  • tkbtrading sells micas and oxides under make up.

the samples are teaspoons or tablespoons were are a good size for personal use. only buy ounces if you plan on making a whole bunch of diff colors.

  • UH-OH! I am in some serious trouble now! I am totally into making stuff(always have had a crafty talent)and this looks fun! Do you ever sell any samples or do you just give samples away? If you sell them,do you find there are "picky" types out there who think that making your own makeup is just crazy/stupid --about brands, hygiene, sanitation, blah-blah? Just curious because people can be ...well...you know...

But this is a very cool way to do gift giving. Who doesn't like makeup?

    =D

  • be careful! i ended up spending four hundred dollars! i don't sell any of my makeup but give small 5 gram samples away to friends that request certain colors. any make up i make for friends requires gloves.

  • Magnesium is used to mekt ice on roads like salt

  • i went on the website a while ago and I'm not paying $12 for ounce

  • Great video! Thanks for inspiring me to make my own colors! :D

  • can you give me a list of the products I need to make this I am so interested to learn how to make those

  • Cool vid, you sure can shake your hands fast, lol. I like the colors and the idea, now for scented eyeshadows~

  • @iheartkayden can i be ur friend? lol

  • I really want to create my own eyeshadow for friends and perhaps even to sell, but you wouldn't be able to sell these would you? That technically be re-packaging because all the Micas are already made by TKB? Even if you did mix them to make different colours. I'm looking for a good place to get my ingredients from and TKB seemed brilliant. :) I'm still a newbie to this! :)

  • i rlly enjoyed this look with the red lipstick!! beautiful!

  • This really takes you back... It's like the adult version of finger painting. I can't wait to get my order ^_^
