good attempt at a synopsis. You need to delve a little deeper into the characters psychology, and the put their persona's into the context of the world in which they live in, what is the characters perspective of that world? A better question, why did he go psycho?

Well, when I first watched AP, I knew it was a satire. Most of Bret's work is satire, which may be why many don't like it because it hits them below the belt. American Psycho not only knocks yuppies, but stays true to form these days as well.
