There is only so much parents can do; teens are notoriously secretive and sneaky and will find ways to do whatever they want. Even if all technology is removed or put in a place where they can be monitored, they will find ways to circumvent these precautions, the proof is how many teens meet up with predators they meet online.

@tomebaden I know that you're comment is very old but the thing is though, Human Sexuality isn't evil, Human Nature is.
There are tons of people who don't fiddle around with kids/teenagers, then there's those other people, and those people need to be watched carefully.
Sex is great and sometimes it isn't depending who you're with but the thing is though, some people don't want kids so your statement is poop :/

Putting the computer in a public place, that's all nice, but now parents are buying their teenagers laptops... And you can also chat with a pedo with your cell phone now. Another thing that parents are buying their teens.

How about just talking to kids about this stuff and teaching them how to be safe, instead of trying to clamp down on their communication? Pedos are scum, yes, but this had better not turn into yet another moral crusade for internet censorship.
