Elliott & Jose discuss what plans DC has for the new year and what Dan Didio is doing that cheeses Elliott off! VISIT THE CCW*TV BLOG! http://comicculturewarrior.wordpress.com
During Diamond take's a break week, check out the comics in the Enemi Catalogue, the new home for indy comics now that Diamond is playing hatchet man.
Quite frankly, I've always felt Dan Didio's enthusiasm to be infectious. I haven't been nearly as impressed with Tomasi's run on Outsiders as GLC. Why not give Dan a shot? It's not like DC is suffering. Granted there's always room for improvement, but if you ask me DC is currently dominating from a creative standpoint. After a solid performance on his Metal Men run, I personally don't mind if Dan writes a C or D list title like Outsiders.
I agree about the complaint of Didio doing Outsiders, you could have a much more talented writer on there and could make a more concerted effort into makin it a better book.
But at the same time it's not like EIC's writing books are without precedent with Jim Shooter having done Secret Wars and Quesada having written that Iron Man story and NYX.
Which is fine to me since those seem more like little runs or special projects but to do an ongoing yourself as EIC seems a little off.
It was about the agreement that Marvel tried to strongarm Kirby into whereby he would get all his art back (that he was entitled to anyway) if he gave up his rights to the characters he was involved in creating.
I didn't think my comment was nixed on purpose but that one of you got drunk or something and started mashing keys on the keyboard :P
Which comment? We have been having problems for the last month or so with comments on youtube just disappearing.I wouldn't remove any of your comments on purpose locus.
I see where you're coming from there. Oh well, one less job for a freelancer (not just myself) who probably needs it more than he does. But hey, that's the industry. I won't complain about it anymore.
