A 2001 5 Piece Tama Rockstar Custom in Vintage Mahogany Laquer Finish. This set is both aesthetically pleasing and a joy to play. This is a Fusion design with 22"X18" Kick, 14"X5.5" Snare, 10"X9" Tom, 12"X10"Tom, and 14"X12" Floor Tom.

  • I wish I had gotten the laquer finish on my Rockstars. I have 2002's with blue wrap. For the price, they're a great sounding kit. My only complaint is the cheapo plastic bass drum hoops. WFT were they thinking?

  • @bgggbb

    The bass hoops aren't actually plastic, they're fiberglass. They may not look like much but they are far easier to tune.

  • Hope to see more Tool covers on this kit! You are one great drummer.

  • @WelcomeWakinyan

    There will be more Tool Covers, but not on this set. This one is for sale and this video is for demonstration purposes only.

    Thanks(;

  • Your snare sounds so beautiful. How did you get it to sound so alive? D:

  • @FZ6X19FAN I think @bgggbb has the regular Rockstar, which *does* have plastic bass drum hoops. I have a Tama Rockstar as well, which has plastic bass drum hoops. What heads are used in this video?

  • This kit sounds like pro kit, actually the rockstars rock for the buck and beyond.

  • Do u use any mufflin in your kick?, and how u tune your set?, sounds great

  • Didn't know Messi played drums :P

  • @bgggbb mkay thanks!

  • @johnkickass27 Just be careful. Before you paint or stain, make sure you wrap the drum in veneer or you end up with an rough ugly finish.

  • @bgggbb i have that same kit!im planning on taking the wrap off and repainting it
