Oh... this movie makes me so sad. But love it anyways. Love Chen Chen's feisty character and their character's playfulness.

summary: Ye Yi Cheng and Lu Chu Ling have been dating for five years. Yi Cheng is a 7th year med student and wants Chu Ling to wait until after graduation to get married. Chu Ling is feisty and very strong willed, but he loves her just the way she is. When Chu Ling goes abroad for a month with her job, he discovers that the cold he thought he had is possibly cancer! He withholds the truth from Chu Ling, but she finds out when he goes in for surgery. Chu Ling is at his side and still wants to marry him, even against her parents wishes now.
Yi Cheng decides he doesn't want her or his family burdened with him and runs to the countryside to await his fate. He starts practicing medicine, and becomes well liked.
His family and Chu Ling place a missing person's ad and one of the nurses in the country notice and call them. Yi Cheng and Chu Ling are reunited and she demands to be with him and they get married.
They settle into happily married life. Chu Ling even becomes pregnant and they plan for their child too, but all the while, both know that every day could be his last. When Yi Cheng falls very ill on a rainy day while attending a sick patient, they know his time is close...
