Renegade III - The Final Chapter on the Amstrad CPC review and longplay!

Yes, I finally did it! Managed to complete this hateful game ...

Don't be fooled by the nice graphics and music, as we say around these parts... "It's all fur coat no knickers!"

One of the toughest games of all time - mostly because of the rediculous time limit. HOWEVER I show you how to beat the guys with a simple system, which used each time and repeated over will eventually get you through this game. Was it worth it? Hell no! A very sad way to end the series.

Why dinosaurs and cavemen?

It's probably a weird form of censorship, i had Carmageddon on the N64 and all of the pedestrians were replaced with dinosaurs. Why dinosaurs??? why not zombies?

@spiderjerusalem100 Not quite, it's a "time travelling" game (yes... really!! *sigh*) so the first level is the Prehistorik Zone - hence dinosaurs etc. It's a stupid idea, a VERY STUPID idea.

Is it just me or did the creators know this game was terrible. They call it the final chapter and then say all that stuff at the game completion screen. Suggesting they thought this would be best forgotten.

@superbuu3 "Never to be heard of again?" - yes how apt. Congrats on ruining a great licence guys!!! And normally that programming team at Ocean did some fantastic games (eg Operation Wolf)

Wikipedia claims that Captain Caveman is an enemy in this which intrigued me; these are no CCs! And why the hell have the dinosaurs boxing gloves?! Rubbish.

The Commodore 64 version, despite being even worse a game than the Speccy/Amstrad versions, has a better (yet still shit) ending in which your gf has rescued herself!

Any1 played the MSX version?

¿renegade 3? I image and alternative plot behind that game: after a few days of not coming up with the story behind the third game programers and producers decide to make renegade travel in time.

A joke, this game's a total joke for my wallet... and you ain't see me laughing ¿are you?

I imagine the story behind the 4th game where the gamer comunity joins forces to hunt the team involved on the third game... i have to add that this game is rated 18 because it has fatalities.

@Xyphoe well to be honest, the most important thing for me to play a game is its atmosphere and plot: Time travel is one of my favourite themes, so this is why I loved this game!Besides that I really love the hero's haircut! hehe!
