My Friend Shot Me

Yakubu, 18, became a Christian in 2000. Since then, he has been actively sharing his faith, even traveling outside his city of Jos to share with people living in smaller villages. On November 28, 2008, religious riots broke out in Jos. As Yakubu ran toward his older brothers house, he spotted a Muslim classmate. His friend and another man were shooting Christians fleeing from the neighborhood. Yakubu thought he would be safe with his friend, but as Yakubus eyes met his friends gaze, his friend lifted his hunting rifle. He pulled the trigger, spraying Yakubu with pellets. With a single glance behind, his friend ran off, leaving Yakubu lying on the ground. Hear how Yakubu responded.
