Greg Norman may be the most talented golfer ever considering he started playing golf at the age of 16 or 17 and made the pro tour 1 or 2 years later.

Thats been my perception since I found out he started that late but I read his book and I realise now that yes he had loads of talent but his work ethic was phenominal as well. He used to practice for at least 2hrs a day everyday more on weekends and he did this for 2 years and when you look at it that way anyone who devotes themselves like that is bound to progress faster than average but still u are right he was extremely talented but work played it's part too

they do now but that didn't start until after TW arrived before TW the pros didn't train nearly as much as they do now and training was usually couple hours hitting balls then a round then that was it now they go all out with weights and cardio and such so for Norman to train for 2hrs a day while he was still at school is pretty committed I know I couldn't find that time everyday when I was at school obviously when he turned pro this increased but for a non pro thats heaps well back then it was

One thing Greg was always good for, playing dominate golf for three days in a row. My uncle once played with him in a charity tournament, and asked him afterward what his biggest problems were. Greg told him that he had a LOFT problem. A LOFT problem?? Yes, he told my uncle that his problem had to do with a Lack Of Fucking Talent. Its funny I guess. I mean, its sounds like something I would say so I can't hate on the guy.
