  • Thank-you for posting this! I want to live in Europe so that I can hear all of the Cavaille-Coll organs in person. Once this high-water mark in organ building had been achieved - why was this type of organ not copied more extensively? Why are Cavaille-Coll organs not built today? What happened to the original company - complete with blueprints and building methods? I like Latin, Cavaille-Coll, and classic high ceiling church design - with the organ loft high in the rear of the church. Namaste.
