This video presents a method for gaining the Three Treasures. IOf course the complete form is not shown here with all of its postures and silk-reeling transitions, but enough is shown to give the viewer a good fe el for the foundational form. It gives some brief examples and methods that should accompany traditional Qigong exercises. It also provides some vivid examples of speed and strength. Qigong scientifically works to enhance physical prowess because it enhances proprioception.

Propriaception and the Science of Qigong Postures
Proprioception is defined as a physical sense of self-perception regarding how the inner parts of the body is united in potential movement and function. the relative position of neighboring parts of the body. It is the sense of inner balance concerning where every part of the body should be during movement to affect a successful action of intent. This sensory perception can be heightened when the body is locked in a posture that presupposes and intended physical action. Qigong postures are a source of increasing proprioception and thusly motor control.
The part of the brain principally responsible for motor control is the cerebellum. This part of the brain receives information from other sensory systems, coordinates and integrates them so movements are accurate and precise. In this sense, the development of the external senses of sight, taste, touch, hearing and smelling play a part in refining movement but this is only half of the developmental issue for the Adept. He/She must also develop the internal sensors to annex the fuller potential of this part of the brain.
The nerve receptors of the inner ear and the stretch receptors located in the muscles and stretch-receptors of the tendons and ligaments engaged when one is standing. These nerve receptors are called proprioceptors sometimes called adequate receptors. Internal exercises exert conscious control of these parts of the brain. These exercises develop mental intent and manipulate the respiration processes that raise the consciousness enough to exert such control. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proprioception)
The cerebellum coordinates information from proprioceptors in the inner ear, muscles and stretch receptors enacted during the standing meditation of Qigong. This cerebellum is closely located to the medulla oblongata which is the part of the brain affecting autonomic respiratory functions. It is also located next to the diencephalon area of the brain that contains the Thalamus where the hypothalamus is located, which is connected to the pituitary gland. The tendons and ligaments of the skeletal joints have a sensory organ that is called the the Golgi Organ. Like the sensory nerves in the inner ear proprioception developed through Qigong exercises load the cells associated with motor activity with information that increases action potential.

  • Again thanks for the comments and the recognition of hard work that I really need todo more of... The thing is I know that you can do the same things based upon your focus and discipline and fighting spirit... I wish you were here to do t'ui shou and chi sao with me.... I know you are gonna love the Wooden Dummy stuff... I will be releasing some tiger conditioning training that is added to the pugilism style you know so well. send the email adress so I can send u what we talked about... G

  • lol... this is why I went into solitude... When I was at the Gym I could do the dissapearing hand thang and the finger thing and the faster than eye movement thing and the wuji stillness thing... but I could not manifest it at will... so I knew it was time to advance and intensify my personal training. Some meditation technioques and entrainment sessions along with the qigong have caused me to manifest some unmentionable healing skills. It will be discussed in the book but call me to know more

  • Mike, how are you. I saw your Blogging Webpage and made some comments about my new work and upcoming book. I asked you to give it a review when it is ready. The request still stands. This incredible compliment is very appreciated and I hope to hear more comments from you especially on the Wu vid I reference in this vid... Thanks again..... G
