A parody of Bob Marley's I Shot the Sheriff. From an 1982 album Stern did when he was "Howeird" on WWDC in Washington. The spelling is how it is written on the album.

  • oh man.....this is beyond bad.....whats with that voice hes doing....? good lord.

  • I guess he's supposed to be imitating John Hinckley.

  • ive been listening to the history of howard stern.....when he began he would do a sort of whiny high pitched voice...not as bad as this....its great to see he evolved...he really is one of the best interviewers now....thank god this album didnt slow down his career :P

  • This album was popular in DC as Howard was so popular there at the time. The album isn't great but Howard had only one day to write it. Right after he got a record deal he got fired and WWDC wouldn't allow him to use material from the show so he had to quickly come up with an album. When he moved to NYC the album sold well again. But Howard is embarrassed by it and hasn't mentioned it since.
