Warship series 2 will follow the taurus09 deployment which involved more than 12 ships and 4,000 crew which left from two bases in the UK. The deployment codenamed Taurus - involves some of the biggest warships in the Royal Navy. Its a war-ready machine that can be diverted to the worlds trouble spots instantly with one phone call from the Prime Minister.
Setting off from Portsmouth and Plymouth the convoy of ships and submarines will include the best of the naval fleet and this time, the Royal Marines are on board. As an Amphibious Ready Group, Taurus is ready for action; commandos can be dropped directly into conflict zones and drive vehicles from landing craft straight on to dry land. Viewers will see this amazing spectacle as they go ashore in some of the worlds most exotic locations.

Wow, I kind of hope that they don't, especially after awarding all these contracts and beginning to get stuff produced. Since we have the people capable of building our own ships and this keeps the ships in the fleet under the same design and layout. I.e. It would probably be harder to convert a Nimitz to a RN layout, because it was designed for American use.

I've even heard rumours of us buying a second hand Nimitz class carrier from the US instead.

Yeah that's true, although I heard India was talking about buying the second carrier from us and then we build our second after that.

Series One was excellent, and this Series Two is just as good if not better. I can't wait for Series Three, hopefully on a Type 45 and Four I'm hoping the first Elizabeth-class Aircraft Carrier.
