This video deals with how important it is to establish pack structure with the family pet. It demonstrates how aggressive even small puppies can be when they establish rank within their litter (family pack)
This is so true. We had a pup that was very dominant. She was only 8 weeks old but she attacked us a couple times. After firmly putting her on the ground until she relaxed, she would no longer ever attack us or even show dominance to us. She became so good that we could walk up and take a raw bone from her, and she would willingly let go and back away wagging her tail submissively. If anyone else would have had her and backed down from her, she would have gotten worse and worse.
Put 6 2-year old children in a room with one valuable resource and see what happens. This is how all sentient creatures "work things out." It has nothing to do with alpha/dominance/pack leader mythology. In primitive societies (puppies, children, etc.), the stronger and more forceful will prevail. We humans can actually use our brains instead of force to solve behavior issues. Straw man video, basically.
We have just taken on a 2 year old, male, Huskamute (Siberian Husky x Malamute) from a Husky Rescue site. We have 2 children age 3 & 5 and a cat and need some help establishing pack structure - any suggestions?
This is really a great video. Thanks. As a dog trainer, I've been watching your posts for personal training. And I'm thankful you post this information. You are a great resource for me.

A superb video! If dogowners-to-be understood the hierarchy in a pack of dogs there wouldn´t be so many "attacks" on children.
