heres the problem with these 2 sharing the same stage, clapton is all blues and beck is not, becks style of fusion is not suited for raw blues, their styles clash too much, clapton is better when he plays with someone who compliments his style of playing,beck is a great player when not reduced to playing blues, but unfortunately, thats what clapton limits himself to these days !

Clapton is a great guy and an excellent musician and singer, I'm sure, but please people don't even compare the guitar playing of Eric with that of Jeff Beck. Not in the same solar system, in terms of tone, fire, creativity, dynamics, Jeff is absolutely untouchable. This is really obvious to any musician.
