Burn Scar (skin grafting) 16 years ago.

People tend to stare at people with burn scars, so here is your chance to stare without anyone noticing.

  • Please forgive my ignorance, but how in the world can burn scars be cool looking?

  • @1958boomergirl - who said it was cool looking?

  • It doesn't look bad. But thank you for posting this. I was also burned 3 months ago and had grafting done on my arm. When it heals in a couple of years I will definitely be posting the results for other people to see. You are awesome!

  • @MsMajesticlove - at first it didn't look all that great. Then in 2001 I had full regrafting done, but with a sheet graft rather than mesh, and the results were great, despite having a 75% take. I can walk around in shorts and nobody notices, then again, people see what they want to see, so most just don't notice.

  • I feel you. !

  • @longshanlung - I was wondering what that was.... lol

  • Well, if you pause at 0:10 you will be able to see

a Devils face ! which is kind of creppy but also very cool. You know.. forehead, eyes, nose, lips, chin. So yeah, I could say I feel kinda envy right now.

  • In 1972 I received 3rd degree burns on 65 percent of my body. Back then they did full thickness mesh grafts. My legs, left arm and most of my back look like hell. As a teenager and young adult it made it difficult to date. But today I am loved, and I am in love with the woman of my dreams. With age comes maturity. Thank you for posting this and God bless all of us burn survivors!

  • @yogmanee1812 - it didn't start out like that. the original graft was pretty messed up looking, and I naturally don't scar hardly at all, but in 2001 I paid to have the leg regrafted with a Med. thickness sheet graft to limit contractures (shrinkage), and the typical diamond pattern scars from the mesh graft. the result was a pretty smooth scar. I'm still missing some muscle from the front and from the back, and had to have the fascia removed, so there is a lot of internal scaring.

  • I have a few scars but my coolest one is on my right cheek. It forms a sort of backwards h.

  • @Nerwik Looks like a skull

  • thumbs up if you clicked on the thumb nail becaus it looked like a penis. lmao

  • it looks like a face
