i find it funny that you assume I'm American just because I say that the crap that America gets from the world, some of it is unjustified. The 'political prisoners' in Guantanamo bay violated the Geneva convention on the articles of war, so they don't deserve the protections. The Americans dropped the bomb without knowing fully the destructive capacity.

@bax323 - Thats exactly what i am saying. Mai-Lai: Captain Callay was amnestied since a few years. What would the raped women and the death vietnams say to that, if they could??? Bax323 seems to be able to confess that the american picture of the relieving, luck bringing, heroic soldier isn´t exisitng in reality, although i´m sure that there are a few really good ones like willem dafoe in movie "platoon". You cant prevent that such things happen in war, unfortunately.

What was very amazing for me is,that you elected a black president. That shows, that america is ethicly not lost and its going upward.

2nd: I am sure the germans had, if they could, dropped the atomic bomb to their enemys, too. BUT: Germany paid for years for their crimes, with money, submission and sense. In Germany it is tried to feel sympathy for jews, to help them with money and spirit, who have been injured by holocaust. Thats all what my generation can do. I am 25.

What the U.S. has done exceeds what the Germans did? Are you serious? The U.S. soldiers have not murdered countless millions in death camps, and I'm wondering what you define as a 'war crime' because if it is a real war crime it is prosecuted by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Of all the superpowers, the Yanks have kept their people in order far better than any other significant country.

I agree with ryno,that the americans really handle the majority of their people better than the russians did for example.But minoritys there have a bad chance.For me the arrogance of many americans (included ryno200) is distempering. What Germans did in the camps is unbelievable terrible,you´re right.But a yank is preaching about this,where yanks never,never had to pay a cent for their war crimes in history. And that is why they are arrogant.
