After years of rhyming and collaborating with some of music's most prominent talents, Anthony Jackson is focused on pushing Big Tone to the forefront of today's music world, with his sophomore effort The Art of Ink. As an artist, Big Tone is an emcee. He's a lyricist who paints crystal clear and graphic depictions of life from a
perspective that is universal to urban environments around the world. And with his 7 release "Chocolate" (Tres), Tone does just that. A smooth melody, including live instrumentation provided by Dwele (horns) and Zo! (rhodes & synth) creates a backdrop reminiscent of the traditional Motown sound, giving Tone plenty of room to craft picture perfect rhymes about life in Detroit city.

Not only do I agree, but I especially enjoy the "Maybe So Maybe No" sample. I bumped this track, Regiments' "HOE" and Emskee's "From The Heart" back to back every day. Actually neither of those other tracks are up on youtube, so I'm gonna take careof that right now.
