I'm glad you made it back okay, I bet that it was a good thing that your sister was there to drive for you. Sometimes, other states do get a lot of crazy weather, especially when it starts to snow the best thing to do is to slow down and keep with the flow of traffic and you'll be just fine, as a future refrence for next time. I hope your sister is doing well!
No doubt about it, I actually use to live there. Since I was only 6, I resently moved to Oklahoma about three weeks ago, by car on interstate 40. It rocked!!!

Anytime, which that is exactly what my mom, step-dad and I did to get to Oklahoma. Seeing everything, including the original Historic Route 66 on the way there was really amazing and almost getting stuck in a snow storm in New Mexico, interesting but nearly scared my mom half to death, luckly we all made it safely to a near by Motel 6 for the night and back on the road the very next day.

I flew to Colorado to help my sis move back here and while I was driving the U-Haul, it started snowing on the highway but it was swirling around coming straight at me and the windshield. Of course I wasn't used to that and started getting dizzy so I had to pull over and let my sister drive, lol!
