P-38L vs Fw-190 (online dogfight)

Il-2 1946 (4.09m) with the UltraPack 2.0 mod ... an online engagement on one of the closed cockpit servers, recorded on January 20th 2010.

I'm flying the P-38L when I encounter a Fw-190 at co-alt (the first part of the engagement - the initial merge - is missing because I didn't have my ACM cam switched on from the beginning). For a while I'm holding my own but then I fall for one of those typical Fw-190 scissor tricks. The Fw-190 hangs on its prop, I overshoot and things end badly for me (pilot kill). Turns out my opponent was Berkay from the TGR (Turkish Gold Raiders) who I know from Warbirds Freehost.

question: how do you get the joystick hat view to change so quickly? My biggest problem with looking around w the hat is how slowly it pans. thanks

@Graywolf116 In your Il-2 game folder, find a file named conf.ini and open it in a text editor.Go to a section called [HookView Config]. In this section, you'll find a key named "Speed". Setting this key's value to a large number (like 90, for instance) will make the views pan faster.

Are you asking about the sound mod? I don't know, mate. If you install UltraPack 2.0 it just applies a whole bunch of mods, including this particular sound mod. I don't know the name of the sound mod, though ... sorry.

Hi antred, it is me, rakinroll . I want to say that it was very hard to aim you well. Seems that you know somethings with that P-38. But as you see that FW rolls extremly. Hope to see you in the sky again. S! Btw i was lucky because other P-38 could not find me again. :)

Incredible combat scenes. Thanks for the sharing. It's disgusting how a very long fight can come to an instant end for 1 º or 2 º of miscalculation in a turn. Anyway, my congrats and LOL for the last coment 'Oh,crap' ;o)
