Video about the extrasolar planet HD 189733b (also catalogued as V452 Vulpeculae). This Jupiter-sized gaseous exoplanet (13% more massive than Jupiter) belongs to the binary star system HD 189733, which is approximately 63 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Vulpecula (the Fox). The primary star is an orange dwarf star, while the secondary star is a red dwarf star. This video shows an artist's impression of the primary star and the exoplanet in transit, and a few details of the atmosphere of the latter. All motion pictures made by M. Kornmesser & L. L.
