i dont fully understand. I mean, are they saying that they will eventually come out with a drug that will completely erase the memory to the extent of which the patient wont even be able to remember what reason they came in for in the first place, or will it jus be like, after the procedure the patients still know what thier bad memories are but, they just cant recall the actuall experiece of it. Like as if it happened to someone else instead of them.

Based on the studies, the drug DOES work, to some extent. Anything that reduces our cortisol levels should, theoretically, make our bad memories less apparent. But this particular drug is still in the testing phase and might not be available for prescription.
Still, @leoisjustchillin037, if your case is an emergency, get help immediately from your doctor, naturopath or therapist! They might have other options to help you cope in the meantime!
