JR found info on the LHORBA web site about Yellow Creek so we checked it out over the weekend. It was one of the hottest days of the year...100 degrees and humid. We were looking forward to the post-ride swim in the lake all day. The biking trails loop around a three-mile long lake and cross a pretty deep stream. The trails on the south side of the lake were mostly twisty hardpack with some steep and exposed sections. There were some beautiful sections where the trail went through hardwood forest with a blanket of ferns on the ground. The singletrack on the north side was a nice mixture of hardpack, some fire road and a couple awesome miles of technical rocky terrain. I would compare the trails on the north side to Moraine State Park.
