Counting aloud version of the first movement of Olivier Messiaen's 'Messe de la Pentecôte' (1950), full of very complex rhythms. From a DVD commissioned by the Research & Development department of Rotterdam Conservatoire for the instruction of students. Played on the main organ of the Grote of Saint Laurenskerk in Rotterdam (Marcussen, 1973). Part of a 2DVD-set issued by Brilliant Classics in 2008, also available via www.willemtanke.com. Original 96 Khz/Surround recording by Marcel van den Tol.

  • This is very helpful to me as a 14 year-old student who is learning this. Thank you very much!

  • Dear Mr. Tanke,

Your playing is absolutely flabbergating, as always.

Do you think it will be possible to get an audio version of your "counting video" ?

    All my thanks
