The Ella Fitzgerald & Billie Holiday at Newport album is one I grew up listening to, thanks to my parents outstanding record collection. Ella's rendition of Air Mail Special at that 1957 Jazz festival has captivated me my entire life and still remains among my favorite songs.

I've had this song in my library for a few years now and am never failed to be entertained by Ella. That final glissando blows my mind every time to hear her going from the chest voice all the way up her head voice with the greatest of ease and no blip in between!

If you buy the album be sure to check out her tribute to Pops (Louis Armstrong) "I Can't Give You Anything But Love". Even more evidence of her vocal mastery!
