On a foggy, sleepy, autumn day a visit to "Osnovna šola Globoko" lifted our spirits! A group of more than 30 students were patiently waiting in their class for PAO Christopher Wurst's visit to talk to them about his life as diplomat, his home state Minnesota, and U.S. Embassy activities. However, he paid a visit to Globoko School mostly to answer the students' questions about any U.S.-related topic. The questions were varied, from those about studying in the U.S., the differences between holidays in the U.S. and Slovenia, health care, food, the Mississippi river, the pace of life in New York, food, to his former career as a teacher in the U.S. and South Africa. A brief introduction to the iPad functions (like recording the students) was also an entertaining part of Mr. Wurst's visit.
