In every version of this song that I have ever heard, (solo) by the Wolf jumps to the 4 chord at the top of each verse. Nice playing, btw.

He's playing a cord progression, which was E, A, B.
That's why it's called a 3 chord blues or rock and roll progression.
Do the same for A, D, E.
These can all played at the bottom of the neck.
If you've ever heard the term Doo Wop, it's the music we had in the 50's and that progression is C, Am, F, G. also at the bottom.
Get yourself a cord book, keep the guitar in your hands and enjoy.
I've been playing since 1962 and play everyday.
