Could have been due to zircon or other radioactive minerals in the granite. You should have put some granite in a zip-lock bag, then tested the air a few days later. Also, at that altitude, some of the radiation might be due to cosmic rays, muon showers.

I saw an abundance of "chemtrails" when your camera pointed skyward. Chemtrails test positive for aluminum and barium, however the radioactive content of Chemtrails has not been determined. It's possible the Chemtrails are as full of isotopes as the plumes.
