Oh my God, I miss the Caspian Sea so much. If I go to Iran this summer, we might go to Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.

I'd love to visit it someday too--inland seas fascinate me--but I don't feel comfortable with the politics over there in terms of stability and attitudes among many (certainly not all) toward Americans. BTW, there is a gorgeous scene of the Caspian Sea in the film The Color of Paradise which is a very beautiful movie, story-wise and cinematographically. It's technically a children's film, but I showed it to both my brother and male pal (both staunch Republics at that!) and they loved the film.

Persian women are absolutely beautiful.

I pray that the tensions in the region do not escalate further into a war.

There is talk that current events are the prelude to World War 3.

That would be a real disaster.
