Canada needs to turn hunting into tourism trade that allow tourist to come to the ice float and watch harp seals in their natural habitat.
Luckily, they are not an endanger species yet. Though, that happen if the global warming continues its path.

@mannyfit75 Gah. You can't hunt seals when they're this age (which the government issued to preserve their numbers.) They don't stay all adorable and pudgy and are actually big pest animals in some parts of the country. Not to mention the seal hunt is part of Inuit culture and banning it would cause an explosion of aboriginal protests.

Of course they don't hunt seals at this age. I am aware that the inuit culture hunts seals. The only difference between commercial seal hunters and inuit is that, Inuits don't waste their resources. Canadian Fishermen who do are given a quota on how much they get to kill annually. If the Canadia Fishermen gets to get quote to kills thousands of seals, the Inuit culture will lose their major resources.
