Great film but it really does have a resemblance to the French connection cuz of the time period and russell crowe's character

I loved Denzel in this film. I agree that it takes a lot from other gangster films, but I was in the mood to see a good mobster flick at the time so I didn't care. The movie is pretty long but you don't really notice that since the story flows so well. I agree that I wish they would have went more into Frank's life, but nonetheless I still loved it. I recently just saw a epic Gangster film set in the Congo called Viva Riva. I think you should do a review for it. vivarivamovie. Com

Josh Brolin's incredible in this. He turns up in that moustache and coat, speaks in a low whisper, and is immediately terrifying.
