Actually, her "actual" job is Protector of the Galaxy.

Bounty hunting is just her prefered means of wiping the galaxy free of scum, she used to be military, waiting for orders costs lives.

Samus' Varia/gravity makes it so that she doesn't take damage from lava, or at most very little even when completely submerged pending on the area.

constantly faced with super heated plasma beams larger and more powerful than what a Spartan's Mjolnir can withstand, I don't see how fire is going to be an issue for her, especially if she can douse it using her ice beam and not freeze herself thanks to her own varia suit.

of course i know how long it would last, i just think it would make for an awesome, if inaccurate gif.

while I understand the humor behind it, you understand how long that would last?

he'd be on the ground again before Samus even catches up to him pending on distance, if they're close, being airborne will just spell death for him, it's too slow and it means he'd have no means of dodging the screw attack.

while the Jetpack does allow him to fight back while in use (though Samus can too, by dropping in and out of it mid air) it's limited in use (space jump will keep Samus in the air as long as she wants) and lacks maneuverability, he'd be a sitting duck to her homing capable weapons while in the air.

Samus' means of flight, in conjunction with the screw attack would render her invulnerable to some attacks (non explosive ballistics plasma bolts) as well as hard to hit due to bouncy movement.
