Hi,years ago 60's 70's they did not have the tire technology they have now so to get traction they used to get the weight of the car as far back over the rear wheels as possible,this meant raising the front,shifting the engine back and also shift the rear axle forward sometimes even putting heavy rear bumpers on.
Nowdays it is just to get the look of the old gassers (type in youtube The Gasser Wars).

@vwbusssesareforever The car is an Aussie Valiant Coupe with American Dart panels,they are the same car but were right hand drive here,cheers Garth.
