@operator223 You can and folks do do that. I'm just trying to simulate a situation where all you have is a can of Sterno. Not the best thing to use to boil a good bit of water. Personally if fire detection by roving N.W.O. goon squads is not a issue, I would build a small fire with wood.

In canada winter gets really harsh even with a suburbian house with nice insulation. got heating disconected for a couple weeks and the place was freezing, had no idea how I could sleep in there, i have a fair bit of water saving and rationing experience because aa few times each winter the pipes will freeze/burst and we'll be out of water for a few days.

I think your vids are great but if things get that bad then nothing will save you. No amount of survival skills will help you if the government decides to track you down. You, me, whoever, will be toast when these communistic pricks decide to eliminate us. Face the facts,they have the weapons,the man power & the know how. We will be fucked! Great demo, Noel. Sterno has a very low energy density. I keep a can in the emergency car kit but pretty much just to use it as an accelerant for fire starting & as emergency heat. I do like the alcohol stove in you next vid though. Definitely a better use of alcohol than sterno!
