Why is everyone ripping on this guy? He may not have the best looking swing, but most of the advice he gives is key and a lot of beginners should hear it.

I feel sorry for this guy, its like those people on Idol who think they actually sound good and are genuinely shocked to hear they are terrible.. I just think if you're going to teach people to keep the left arm straight its a good idea to be able to do it yourself... and his legs just annoy the hell out of me, I'm sure the guys a top bloke but in terms of online golf tips, hmmm no thanks

We're probably watching it because every golf addict watches everything. And the other posters are right, this guy's left arm is bent like a pretzel! Beside that, he consciously cocks his wrists, which according to that famous duffer Ben Hogan, you never have to consciously do - it happens automatically if you swing correctly. You want real advice leading to a real golf swing? Get Hogan's "Five Lessons" - frankly if you internalize that, it's all you'll ever need to hit the hell out of the ball.

Thanks for the advice, couldn't regularly hit a golf ball until I watched these videos. And yes I am serious. I was swishing at a lot of balls before I hit my first par (on a par3!) thanks to the advice.

Amazes me how all these comments are from guys who probably dont enjoy their golf. Why else would people with so much know-how be watching beginners videos?

I can now regularly hot straight iron shots, where as two weeks ago I was basically randomly swinging at the ball hoping I'd hit it.

I'm sorry, but this golf tip is not good at all. I have looked all of his golf videos, and I would highly recommend not following any of the videos.

There are many better video instructions here on Youtube. I would definitely check them out. I highly doubt this guy shoots very well, and his swing is just not fundamentally sound.

Watching professional golfers on tv would help better than these tips.
