Round Trip

On May 19, 2008 LA Poverty Department recreated ROUND TRIP, an Allan Kaprow "Happening"; build a ball of string and cardboard, roll it down public street, add and pick up elements of what's in the streets onto the ball, do the trip in reverse; unraveling the ball.

OUR 2008 TRIP
6th and Gladys Ave., Los Angeles (starting point) - Follow 6th Street west to San Julian Street - North to 5th Street - West to Los Angeles Street - North to Winston Street - West to Main Street - and back: ending at Gladys Park, (6th and Gladys)

The happenings: 'Allan Kaprow - Art as Life' is organized by the Haus der Kunst, Munich, and the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven. and were coordinated by MOCA, LA and the City of LA, Department of Cultural Affairs.
