Has any driver had a faster sounding name than Lorenzo Bandini? Archetypal Grand Prix driver and by all accounts a gentleman. Never forgotten.

Indimenticabile.

I saw Banders win the Daytona 24 hours of 1967, beating the 7 liter Mk.II Ford GT's and the winged II-F Chaparral. The 330P4 is my favorite sports racing car.
I think the nimble Dino V-6 F-II car, possibly in 2.4 liter form, would have been a better choice for Monaco.

to BlancoChoclate15 - well, yes surely he was in Italy, bot so well known worldwide.
First off having being scheduled by F1 SEFAC Ferrari team and secondly being expected to be the 1st driver of the team by a short time.,he was close to get a wider success as a sportman.
Let me add that we all knew that Enzo Ferrari was not so friendly oriented..,
who knows what was going through his brain ...he was an odd man.
Greetings.

Hi, I'm from Belgium. I wonder if you're a fan of Jacky Ickx ?
digoclocks 2 years ago
Oh yes, Jacky was my favourite driver.

why? Because he did so well with Ferrari, or because he was a gentleman driver, or because of "Mr.Le mans" or because of Paris Dakar or.....
I've met him once in my life. Just before i started racing myself.

First: because was a fantastic Ferrari's driver in my youth. He deserved a world champion title.
Second: Was (is !) a gentleman driver
