Over 1,500 people attended L.L.Bean's annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Saturday, 11.20.10. The crowd enjoyed music by local boys' and girls' choirs, hot chocolate by the campfire with Boy Scouts of America, old-fashioned horse and carriage rides, and an enchanted forest filled with crooked houses.
This year's Christmas tree was donated to L.L.Bean by a Maine family from Cousins Island. The 45 foot Blue Spruce is decorated with 50,000 energy-efficient LED lights and hundreds of L.L.Bean Slope Sliders. The spectacular tree and campus light displays are by local designer Pandora LaCasse.
Don't miss the holiday fun and free activities every weekend through December 31 at L.L.Bean in Freeport, Maine. For a complete schedule of events visit: http://bit.ly/LLBean_2010_Christmas-Holiday_Events. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from L.L.Bean.
