Below are the 3.1.2 firmware files that you will be pointing in Redsnow 0.9.4. (Recap, you will be having 3.1.3 firmware in your IPhone 2g or 3g and ipod touch 1 & 2nd gen, but you will be pointing 3.1.2 firmware in Redsnow 0.9.4 to Jailbreak and Unlock)

IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 2G OR IPHONE 3G USING AN UN-OFFICIAL SIM CARD (or No Sim Card at all) THEN AFTER UPDATING YOUR IPHONE FROM ITUNES , YOU WILL SEE ITUNES LOGO AND USB LOGO ON YOUR IPHONE SCREEN. DO NOT PANIC. AT THIS POINT SIMPLY CLOSE ITUNES AND RUN REDSNOW 0.9.4. THIS WILL HACKTIVATE YOUR IPHONE 2G OR 3G AND OPEN IN NORMAL MODE. VOILA.

Do I need to insert the sim from the carrier I want to use the phone on first or should I leave the original one from AT&T in the phone while I unlock it?

Ok i have an Ipod 3rd generation and i jailbroke it 2 years ago , and havnt used cydia for a year now so i have forgotten how to update, i am currently on 3.1.3 and want to get rid of the jailbreak and upgrade to the latest update. WHAT DO I DO ? I have 400 songs on my Ipod and do not want to lose them . Please help me , thanks
