In Holland it's also illegal to dock them tails (and ears) since a cpl of years..

Also for Dobermans, Rottweilers etc..

The last airedale my family had didn't have a docked tail. It's kind of odd when you're used to seeing short tails on the dogs but he was a good dog.

@cmshedd0 it is illegal to dock a dogs tail in the uk unless they can be proved to be a working dog.

@erw12w where are you that it is illegal to dock a dogs tail? I have never heard of that ever. Many dogs such as English Springer Spaniels, Doberman's and so many other breeds have their tails docked for many different purposes and if it's done at a young age it is not cruel at all.

I had a airedale for 2 years but i relocated in france and unfortunately couldnt take him with me :(

no the tail hasnt been docked. its not a mix my airedale hasnt had his tail docked because its illegal now as hes not a working dog.
