is the graphics card replaceable or is it permenate I just got this laptop it was the best they had in the store but it has a better graphics card online reason why is this thing keeps crashing with the software I use

The GPU is built in. Although if you know how to unsolder from circuit using rework station desoldering tool then I must saying can be replaced. Now, the other question is if the upgrade chip or GPU that you found online will be compatible with the motherboard. I would say the better alternative is to find the upgrade model of your motherboard. I hope I answered your question. Good luck!

Some 1 PLEASE HELP ME, for some reason my wireless wont turn on at all. It was working just fine until I started hooking up the cable to it (the cable from the modem so that I would have a faster connection) and after 3 days of using the cable it just stoped working and it won't turn back on now. When I click on the little orange light nothing happens, I went to mobility center and it wont let me turn on from ther either. I tried Fn + F2 and no luck. Please help....

My suggestions: first remove the software driver for both the wifi card and your modem. It could be that they are conflicting. You may also want to restore your O/s to a known good time/date when your system is still working. 2ndly, You may want to remove the software that you last installed before your system was still working normally.. 3rdly, I would get another Wifi card to see if it turns on with your machine... My point is you need to isolate all possibilities.

my laptop dv7 2170 is stuck constantly trying to turn on, on for 1 second then shuts off, you can hear it spin, it repeats this nonstop, do you feel a motherboard replacement will fix this issue? I ordered a new one for $100, hopefully it is the fix

I have a dv7 also.I wanna upgrade from 2GB of RAM to 8GB of RAM. Do i have to upgrade the processor too or will i be fine? Its a AMD Turion X2

How do i reset the bios? I think mines is corrupted. When is the bios battery? is that the one in the back cover or it's on the mother board? Keyboard n screen not working. It comes on, fan, but then fan goes off. Lights stay on. Never get to blue light for internet. I can't do anything. I reset rams, n hard drive. When it was working, it said they were good. dvd not working, nor usb.
