Darśana (Darshan, Sanskrit: दर्शन) is a Sanskrit term meaning "sight" (in the sense of an instance of seeing or beholding; from a root dṛś "to see"), vision, apparition, or glimpse. It is most commonly used for visions of the divine. One can receive darshana of the deity in the temple.
In the sense "to see with reverence and devotion," the term translates to hierophany, and could refer either to a vision of the divine or to being in the presence of a highly revered person. In this sense it may assume a meaning closer to audience. "By doing darshan properly a devotee develops affection for God, and God develops affection for that devotee."
Lord Krishna said, "Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, was impersonal before and have now assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and supreme." (Bhagavad Gita 7.24).
"I make no distinction between one religion and another. People may worship me in any form they wish. The *form of worship* does not matter to me. My only concern is the *quality of love* which is expressed in worship. I accept every kind of worship, because I am Supreme." (Bhagavad Gita 9.20-24)
"One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God." (Bhagvad Gita 18.55).
Arjuna inquired, "Which are considered to be more perfect, those who are always properly engaged in Your devotional service or those who worship the impersonal Brahman, the unmanifested?" (Bhagavad Gita 12.1).
And Lord Krishna said, "Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect." (Bhagavad Gita 12.2)
"For those whose minds are attached to the unmanifested, impersonal feature of the Supreme, advancement is very troublesome. To make progress in that discipline is always difficult for those who are embodied." (Bhagavad Gita 12.5)

Brahmalokaḥ sanātanaḥ is Vaikuṇṭha, kingdom of God - the loka or abode of Brahman, or the Supreme Lord with eternal spiritual planets. Brahmalokaḥ sanātanaḥ is not the same as the Satyaloka planetary system (planet in which Brahmā resides). To distinguish between the two, the adjective sanātana has been used in this case.
