It seems people hate for hate sake, would it hurt so much to educate your selves before forming an introspective opinion. I doubt that the haters even know what the queen does, works hard because she is told to even at at her age. The critics always get silenced when the nation gathers for a death or marrage. Wait and see when the Queen passes away or when William gets married. I dare the critics to march through london shouting hate statments. You'd be hung by the mob.

@deskpot1 You're right, God is not at all naive and that being the case, don't you think that he could protect the Bible from being changed?? The problem is not the Bible, but the majority of people who reckon to believe in it - they know nothing but human tradition. I've often heard people say that the Bible's been changed, but I've never been shown reliable evidence.=) You're spot on in that the church does not follow Christ....

@bigcoolviking "99% of the population", 1) get your math right, 2) People know or are able to know as much as you and thus are just as informed so 99% makes you a sofa spokesman, 3) the vast majority of people in the UK have a mixed national back ground, 4) The Queen is 4 times removed from German decent, 5) the avarage individual of UK residents is 4 times removed from European decent, 6) Monarchs were first "estalished" in the UK after the romans left before the dark ages. = You IDIOT!

@deskpot1 good for you. i see them as leeching relics of a terrorist organization. i'm not saying they are anywhere near as bad as their ancestors, but they are still claiming the same status. royalty has never earned special status. i don't think they should be killed or even convicted or anything daft like that.. but they serve no function other than a tourist attraction.

@PurushadasaTotalFAIL I don't think that the Monarch today is comparable in action or its national position to what it was even during the reign of King George V. Maybe if you go as far back before the reign of Queen Victoria you might find that type of totalitarianism, unlikely even then. To characterise the Monarchy today akin to a terrorist organisation dispells your subject comments. I see the Monarch as a symbol of the UK and commomwealth, I proud of that symbol.

@deskpot1 mob mentality and misplaced patriotism doesn't mean a thing. i have no great hatred for the royal family but i do seem them as unnecessary and a leftover relic of a very bad time in our history when we were ruled by a totalitarian monarchy as opposed to a semi-totalitarian corporatocracy. i guess we could view the royal family as just a museum piece for tourists, but personally i think they should be disbanded the same as any other terrorist organization.

@valu777 dame, your a real goer of a fanatic/zealot, lol. Just so you know, I count myself a Christian. I do not however attend church because it no longer serves the ideals of Christ and I do not believe in the bible as it has changed over the centuries. Im not stuiped enough to believe that God is nieve either, he knows humanity far more then you, i or anyone. Neither does God need fanatics, live and let live. God is in the peace. You must learn Christ in the whole world, travel & learn.
