Laser Treatment for Vitreous Floaters. Non-invasive, Non-surgical, FDA-approved Laser. Board Certified Eye Surgeon. If you suffer shadows, spots, clouds and threads that move about in your vision you may have vitreous floaters. Like most people you have been told you will "Just have to learn to live with them". We disagree. There is an FDA-approved laser that is used to significantly reduce or eliminate the these floaters. Listen to interviews with real patients. Hear their perspectives and descriptions of the actual treatment as well as their assessment of the results.

  • Usually the floaters that young people have are difficult to treat or can't be treated at all. There are exceptions of course.

  • Too bad laser doesn't work for young people. I've had a FOV, but my retina is damagend. My vision is wavy because of hypotony, the eye is now stabilized but I still experience visual distortions after 6 months. Hope it will get better.. I have so much fear to undergo FOV for my other eye as well, I have a lot litte floaters in that eye, but they told me laser only works for one big blob. My surgeon also told me that laser has also big riscs, because of you miss, you could burn the retina.

  • @oclaservision and is there like a time where it comes and they could say, "ok look your eye developed enough, since it floaters dont increase etc etc retinal tearing is highly unlikely" ? Also when would i start seeing an increasement of floaters, How can i prevent it, by looking at bright light more less? Preventing eye poke, resting my eye? What can i do so it doesn't develop any further, should i keep my eye warm or cold? When i wash my eyes or in shower should i be careful of water entering

  • @oclaservision It happens after 40 °C/104 °F on Extreme high UV sunlight, working for 13 hours outdoor, i realized then and i started having headache, and my eye started feeling different, like pressured and pulled the 1st-2nd day was really in pain. its 4th day now i only see 1 Floater half visible circle shaped I can ignore it, but will i go blind? If i do have retinal detachment or tearing and my vision disappears after a certain age can it be fixed via surgeries im not insisting just curious

  • @oclaservision Please answer me, I'm 18 having my first eye floater only one, black and transparent visited Optometrists, they said it not serious at this stage. However, in what period of time would they become more floaters, when would i realize the flashes and tearing, How are the flashing? Just a part of your eye or as a whole? Am i going to go blind?! I never had any problems my eye sight are fine, and everything else is fine, but after floater i got black marks on my white bit of the eye

  • It's very important that you be seen. Have you had a recent exam? Can you call the hospital or clinic to speak to a doctor or have them call. If your retina detaches you have about 24 hours. If you have a family history of this then the doctor needs to know.

  • @EDiTzZ1998 I have had floaters since I was 8 and they have been a regular occurrence that I have dealt with for years. The flashes started when I was 29, and I am 38 now. I am very nearsighted and have seen several vitreoretinal specialist as I too am concerned about retinal detachment. I am not a doctor. My specialist told me that if I see a profusion, or lots of flashes accompanied by a shower of new floaters that I need to get to him immediately.

  • I hate the fact that adults are crying over these floaters, and us kids from 10-18 year olds have more of life ahead of them and more to worry about. i'm 16 and has had them from a very young age, and I dont cry much over them. But I do want them removed cause its very distracting.

  • hey how much the cause for treatment? i have this too!

  • @PolleScrew me too!!! im 17 tho

  • @oclaservision Why they can't be treated ? Whats the difference ? I first notice I've got them when I was 12 but there was only one, and now by time there are much more.
