  • Beautiful!

  • The original version is by the GREAT SINGER/SONGWRITER David Wiffen

  • David Wiffen is a Canadian Singer-songwriter

Two of his songs, "Driving Wheel" and "More Often Than Not", have become cover standards.

  • Thank you so much for posting. I have seen CJ many times and this is my favorite cover.

I requested it back at a 2007 concert and Margo played it for me -- even mentioned my name. What an angel. I always assumed it was a Townes Van Zandt song, but thanks for clearing that up. Be well.

  • It IS beautiful, isn't it?

I got to meet Margo in Rochester, NY after this show.. she came out after the concert and mingled. They are an extremely gifted group of musicians.

  • Thanks for uploading this. A very good cover by an excellent band. I know this song from Tom Rush's version (also available here) from...1970! It did, and does, cut like a knife. It's worth hearing both versions, as both are excellent (and a lot of us "grew up", so to speak) with Tom's. I'm saving this one to favorites, too.

  • Thanks. They're fantastic. And what a song... My regards to Tom Rush. We Saw them in Toronto last year. Same weekend I was introduced to the Sadies.

  • Look up the Brothers of a Feather version as well. A monster.

    This version is stunning.

Nice nod to her daughter (I presume) during the intro.
