Universal seems to be the best out of all the outfits in terms of keeping these kinds of things intact from a "histoical" standpoint. I've noticed that on DVDs for pre-1997 movies, they stick on the modern Universal logo, but then when the film starts, whatever logo was in use at the time is also allowed to stay in there.
@jakestooge34 - Fast Times at Ridgemont High has this retained - my VHS copy has it. I haven't watched the end of the DVD print yet, but Universal preserves their films, so I wouldn't be surprised!!!
@ajaugenti This particular card was not attached to the end of E.T. That would be the white letters on blue background one.
These ones were phased out by the end of 1978 in favor of the white on blue cards which, themselves, were replaced in 1980 by the current color bands seen in trailers. The white on blue still remain at the end of current films.
As seen on Rooster Cogburn and the Lady

I think that they should have used this ratings logo at the end of Drag Me To Hell instead of the current one except that it would say PG-13.

@Copper20 - This clip came from VHS. Also, I have a DVD and it's there, too.
It's the Anniversary Collectors Edition DVD.
