Albrecht AE 485s

The newest incarnation from this radio previously known as the Dragon, Radioshack etc.

First rOHs version was disgusting, drifted more than a boat with no anchor and was the worst it could be.

This is the NEWEST version just available and the first tests are good. It does not drift at the moment and the frequency is good, almost bang on infact! More to come ladies and gents

whats it like for rx-tx on uk fm channels with not having the .25 on end of frequency and only the 3 digits well 5, does it affect it much i know its not far away but just wondered mebbes would have been betterv with extra digit tnx. oh and did you replace the 3900eft with this or do you still have the 3900 eft tnx.

The radio works fine on the UK40, there is not really any issue with the .25 missing at the end. Did not replace the 3900 with this one, both radios are long gone from here now.. 73s Simon

Hello Ralf, when the unit shows 485 tested on another RX was 484.9 the same almost as the Lincolns. Guess you never had the one before this that drifted something like 3-6kcs when was warm and you coould never get it on freq.

Trust me, this is 1000 times better :)

Sounds that it is not 100% on frequency. Ist'n it?? Own the old model as 5800 - before ROHS. Works good for mobile and is programable by pushing the EMG button at switching on :-)

After power off, the radio works on 40CH only again.
