This is actually pretty interesting I am a future Kendo student but I think this electronic Bogu would totally go against what Kendo is. Last time I checked in sparring Kendo is not just about how many hits you get it is about the "spirit" of the attack and if you manage to disrupt your opponents concentration with a strike. I feel like with this electronic Bogu it would make people more focused on just trying to get a hit and make them forget the rest of what is more important.

I won't mention the fact that kenshis are not guys with experience in Kendo, but still, how can someone manage to try to do this? I found this unrespectable not only for Kendo itself, but also for shimpan. You can't say that an "ippon" is Yuko Datotsu just because it "hit" any part.
